I called American Bath and spoke to the most friendly and knowledgeable owner John. Gerard and Johnny resurfaced my entire bathroom and it looks like a brand new bathroom. In fact it looks nicer than when the bathroom was new. Unbelievable how quick they got it done, neatness of their work and incredible low price. I wanted to thank you for the great job you did on the tile glazing/resurfacing you did recently at my house. The tech, Gerald, was really great. He did a great job of carefully and completely taping up the bathrooms making sure that only the tiles were glazed and nothing else. The glazing/resurfacing looks amazing, really very nice. He was also very professional and respectful, someone you are comfortable having in your house. I would recommend your company to anyone who is looking to resurface tile rather than replacing.

They sprayed my tile walls (inside and outside of the tub area). I did NOT have the tub sprayed. And they pulled up my old cracking floor, laid new subfloor & put in a new tile floor.

They also installed a new toilet and put back my old vanity base but replaced the top with a new vanity top new faucet.

1. Referral – I used American Bath after getting 2 friend referrals.  They sent me the same phone number for “John at American Bath” both friends were satisfied with the work done.
2. Quote – I called John for a quote, he called me right back (within 20 min) & came that night to my house.  He gave me a handwritten quote in under 15min and what he quoted it what we paid!
3. Scheduling – Because my toilet was broken (Starting this whole adventure), John worked to schedule me quickly even said he would come that weekend.  Once I got all the stuff I wanted to replace in the bathroom (toilet and vanity/tiles) I called him and he got me scheduled quickly.  He even called me back because he had an opening sooner & bumped me up a weekend.
4. 1^st Day of the Job – Gerard came, on time, with another employee in their American Bath red van.  He knew the job before I briefed him on what he was doing, he was polite, kind, knowledgeable and got right to work prepping the space.  He was very informative along the way and fixed a leak we had that got worse.
5. 2^nd Day of the job – Gerard came again, on time, with another employee and fixed my leak and started on my floors.   He asked me if I also bought ‘lines’ for the water hookup for the faucet and I said “Yikes, no!” he said, don’t worry I bought them for you…he came prepared as the expert I can appreciate that. They took their time doing cuts and setup outside of my front door under a tent (it was snowing).  Both gentleman were very helpful and if a challenge presented itself (which it did since we reused my old vanity base) they let me know about it and worked thru it with my permission first.
6. Payment – We paid what we were quoted & after that, Gerard handed me a new bottle of rustoleum spray paint in white to spray something I was reusing in my bathroom.  That’s someone that cares about their reputation and the project.

My final opinion on these guys is; They came referred by 2 trusted sources, they like the work they do and do a good job, they come prepared, they are experts & will work with you.

You don’t find people like that all the time in construction.  I highly recommend them to anyone.

During the remodeling of our home after a fire we decided to resurface our tub and tile in the bathroom. Couldn’t be happier that we chose American Bath Resurfacing to do the job! They came down to the house right away and finished the job quickly. What a wonderful job that did! And after about a year they came back to fix a small issue completely free of charge! American Bath did a wonderful job remodeling my bathroom. They regrouted the tile in my shower, as we as reglaze the ugly blue that my bathtub used to be to a new more modern bone/beige. They were gentlemen and the owner John worked with me to set up a time and date that was convenient for the both of us. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. I have a gorgeous new bathroom for the best price imaginable. The initial salesman was courteous and honest– not a “hard” seller at all, much appreciated!– and the guys who did the work were not only fast, efficient, and professional, but, when it turned out that the job was bigger than originally believed, the boss even took a chunk of time out of his day to schlep me to hardware stores to help me pick out the right parts that we were missing… all without increasing the agreed upon price by a penny! I can’t imagine another contractor doing something like this. I would definitely recommend them for your bath resurfacing project.

You have to remember when you are resurfacing you are not getting a new tub or new tile. I had a dated pink bathroom and decided to pull down the tile but keep the tub and the tile in the tub enclosure. I should have called John at American Resurfacing first. Instead I pulled down the tile, painted, put in a new vanity and then new floor thinking that a shower curtain would hide the pink tub and the in the enclosure. Well it made me crazy. I called John and he explained the process along with the risks of this backward process.

Even with all that it came out great! I now have white tile and a white tub! I did have a small issue and John came right out and had his crew correct it. Good job and great customer service. Thanks American Resurfacing!

I decide to go with American Bath to remodel the shower in one of our extra bathrooms. The finished product turned out great! John gave a fair price. After agreeing to the job and price, I even added to the scope of the job by adding a European shower. (additional Plumbing) . The add on was reasonable, perhaps cheap. The job was finished in three days. His workers (Gerard & Jose) did a fantastic job on the install. As an added benefit, Gerard and Jose were very clean while doing the demo and remodel. Additional, both were courteous and easy to work with. I certainly will use John again when I need another bath refinished.

We just had quite a bit of work done in our house by American Bath. We were more than pleased with their work. Gerard and Jose were extremely efficient and pleasant (they even entertained our kids by letting them watch)! It was raining on the day they worked on our shower – they had the courtesy to put up a plastic tent outside so that they could do all of the cutting outside and not create dust in the house. The price was very fair and they quickly came back to resolve an imperfection that we called about. The owner, John was also very easy to deal with. We were really impressed!

I  recently used them and I am very very happy.  First of all, I am shocked after seeing other reviews. I am in NJ and the workers that were sent were amazing! They were polite, hard working, and did an impeccable job! A big shout out to Girard and Jose! They even cleaned up after themselves beautifully and made sure every last detail was finished before leaving! I will attach pictures of their beautiful work! We have used American for three bathrooms to date. One in our primary residence and two in our rental properties. I have been completely pleased with the work they have done based upon the price that they charged. We are not paying 15k+ for a “spa” type bath remodel, so we had American come out and do a basic remodel of our bathrooms. They look great.

I was present for all the work that they did and I must say that they are all very hard workers, very pleasant to deal with, professional and the work area was cleaned properly upon completion. John, the owner, was always responsive to my phone calls and small job changes along the way. Gerald the foreman took pride in the work he was doing and was very concerned about the final product being perfect. John’s employees work very hard !

A note about the tile work and the fit of all the bath appliances, they look perfect !

This new project involved a complete bath gut and makeover, a partial bath makeover and a kitchen demolition

This is the third large project that I have used American Bath Resurfacing and their crew. Once again they came through with outstanding results. The crew led by Gerald, are all experienced and knowledgeable workers who work extremely hard to complete the project on time and on budget. The makeover was not an easy task when you are going from a 1968 bath to a brand new bath. The foreman in charge has a keen insight into transforming these old shells into something up to date. Their attention to small details really makes the job. From the placement of tile to trim work and interesting tile patterns all contribute to the overall success of the job.

One of the great things about their foreman is his ability to adapt and modify on the fly when a problem arises. This is a rare quality in so many tradesmen. Gerald is able to see the end product and figure out a solution of how to get the intended result when an obstacle is in the way. During my bath rehab more than a few plumbing obstacles arose. They were all fixed with success.

The employees seem to really care about the final product and pleasing the customer. They kept me informed along the way and asked for input when necessary. Their job site cleanliness was unsurpassed and they went the extra mile to protect our home.

I would highly recommend American. They finished the job in budget and on time. John, the owner, was always very responsive to my text messages, calling me back as soon as practically possible.

We first used American Bath two years ago to replace our kitchen cabinet faces and install a tile backsplash. Our first quote from Home Depot was over $12K for laminate faces. American Bath did the job for half the cost (they even included new shelving in our pantry) and used real oak cabinet faces. John and Chris were professional and courteous. When they made an appointment, they kept it. The work was done on time and my kitchen was spotless when they left. I called John when we were ready for our new bathroom and he came the same day to give us a quote.

Just wanted to let you know how satisfied we are with the work you did here in early December. Our ‘1960’s pink tub” is now a perfect match to our Kohler beige fixtures. I am amazed every time I take a look at it. It really is an interesting process. Friends and family have commented on the work. As a perfectionist myself I can tell you that I am extremely satisfied.

Incidentally, I looked around before I called you, not for prices, but for reliability of service. I came upon [competitor’s name], which is certainly a catchy name and gave them some thought. However, reading about them convinced me that they were the wrong way to go for sure. I read of complaints of dissatisfaction and steered clear.
